Personality:
1) Tell us about who your character is and what someone’s first impression would be upon meeting them.

Alastor can be a little bit difficult to pin down in the sense that he is always smiling, but there is a lot going on underneath it. That smile itself never really leaves his face and it's a wonder if it even can. So while he may appear indifferent, he very well might not be - simply waiting and biding his time. He is someone that has his own set of morals and standards of conduct and doesn't sway from them. It's just that his standards don't quite align with others. Alastor is someone that values manners and intellect yet he enjoys chaos and despair - people falling short of their goals and writing in agony for their failures. He doesn't shy away from bloodshed and blood on his person, yet he dislikes messes. Alastor displays wit and cunning but at the same time a nearly feral viciousness.
The reality is that how Alastor carries himself and the principles that guide him are things that only he knows. He's not someone that shares of himself. That smile is a weapon and he utilizes as one but also allows it to be his shield.

Being an Overlord, the Radio Demon, means something. Alastor seeks power, that much is certain, and he uses any advantage that he can to obtain it. When he had first arrived in Hell, people hadn't thought much of him. Some, upon first meeting him, might think the same thing - that he is just some shadow and unimportant. Or they might simply be unnerved by his smile or his overall "chipper" demeanor. Then when his true colors show, it definitely leaves people feeling nervous or downright afraid. Shaking and terrified. After all, the Radio Demon's broadcasts in the past were never without the chorus of screams - souls being ripped and torn apart by Alastor himself.

Which brings back up the point of Alastor being contrary. Again, he is someone that revels in suffering and enjoys it. He is a hunter that plays with his food before devouring it. Alastor never shows his hand until his victory is assured. Yet he still allows the souls that are bound to him to do their own thing, for the most part. He is someone that Rosie ( another Overlord ) claims has "never steered [her] wrong." Despite his aversion to touch ( except if he is the one making people uncomfortable with it ), he allows for Rosie, Mimzy, Niffty, and even Charlie to hug him. While he isn't someone that seems to have much in the way of emotions, he still has the capacity to form relationships. Usually women, mind you. He loves to cook, sing, and dance as well as quite literally eat other demons and living creatures.

To put it plainly, Alastor is a somewhat enigmatic character who is as transparent as much as he obfuscates.

2) What is a driving force your character has? What goals do they have, what motivates them, etc?

For as difficult as it might be to discern Alastor's intentions based on his personality, at the same time what he desires and craves his pretty standard. First and foremost, he is motivated by power and reputation. Alastor is a deal maker - a rare trait for demons - and he uses that to grow his power. He's torn apart Overlords in the past to make a name for himself. He enjoys the recognition that comes with being the Radio Demon and the reactions that he gets. All of the reactions.

Entertainment is where that leads, really. Alastor doesn't like things that are dull or boring. He really does need to have some form of entertainment. Now understand that can come in a variety of different ways. He mentions to Charlie that he wants to see Sinners fail at the hotel and that is his entire reason for helping her out. Now whether or not this is true, he does take delight in the suffering of others. He commits to actions or says things to others purely for the reaction that they will have.

His current goal has to do with the deal he had made that had something to do with his disappearance for seven years. The details are presently unknown, but he's made it clear that he wants to find a loophole. He wants to get out of the deal and go right back to what he had been doing. To shake things up and to tear things down.

3) What are their flaws as a character? What is something they've messed up, or have done that they regret?

His biggest flaw is that he is a person that needs to feel in control. Alastor comes across as becoming a little unhinged when things don't quite go as he had anticipated. He does concern himself with his reputation and how he is seen which means that there is also the issue of pride ( lol Pride Ring ). For better or worse, he thinks of himself as better than others and above them.

He also doesn't allow for any vulnerabilities to be seen. By anyone. Alastor doesn't open up to people. Doesn't talk to people about himself. That smile of his never falters. Even when he had been on the verge of a mental/emotional breakdown, he is smiling. This means that he is somewhat unstable himself, barely holding onto the control that he so needs.

Alastor isn't the type of individual to well and truly regret anything - not in the sense of he feels anything like remorse. At the present moment, he regrets making that deal that comes with all of these "contraints." He doesn't do well being on "someone's leash" and just the mere mention of it is enough to make his temper flare. While it might have been needed in the heat of the moment, Alastor certainly regrets needing to have it and is definitely dealing with "buyer's remorse."

4) Optional: What is something unique and interesting about them, or what is a fun little tidbit that sets them apart from the crowd?

He's a mama's boy and she's probably the only person he's genuinely loved in his entire life.

Alastor has been known to randomly join bands that are playing.

Abilities & Inventory:

Transformation/Contortion: Can grow into a much larger, more monstrous/demonic form. Reminiscent of a wendigo. His size will have limitations in game. He can also move and bend his body in unnatural ways.

Deal Making: Not every demon has this ability. By making a deal, one's power can grow - especially when dealing with one's soul. This works with small deals as well, like some favors or trades. This ability will not be with him in game - maybe a regain option instead and limited even then.

Conjuration: Creating objects seemingly out of thin air. This can include summoning the souls that are bound to him from one place to another. This ability will be removed from him in game - possibly a regain option

Alteration: Just like with creating objects, he can also change the shape and form of objects as well. Can be anything from clothing to surrounding objects. This ability will be removed from him in game - possibly a regain option

Pyrokinesis: Exactly what you think - he can summon balls of fire to burn what he touches.

Warping: Teleportation from one location to the other using his own shadow. This is only for short distances.

Barriers: Can create a barrier from the shadows around him.

Shadow Tentacles: I mean... Does this need to be explained?

His Own Shadow: His own shadow seems to be alive on some level and can act somewhat independently.

Radio Wave Manipulation: Taking over and controlling radio waves across towers. Generates radio waves and frequencies. This will be limited to just generating his own personal frequency. Anything else will be through a series of regains or just not at all

Acoustokinesis: Adds a radio filter quality to his voice. Also enables some songs and even tracks to play from his cane.

Glitching: Anything that tries to take a picture or video of him can glitch out the image or explode the device entirely.

Microphone Cane: Yeah. It's exactly what it says it is. Originally this had been an item tied to Alastor himself. Still waiting on confirmation to see if this is still the case.

ARMADA SELECTION

Honestly, I can't see Alastor fitting anywhere other than the Corsairs. He had been a radio host and a serial killer while he had been alive so following laws and rules that aren't his own just isn't something he does. Alastor abides by his own standards and moral compass. Preservation? Conservation? These aren't really things that he cares too much about. Freedom? Oh that is the one thing that he wants more than anything else at the present moment.
